How Beautiful Pakistan Is!
World Tourism Day is celebrated on 27th September every
year. The purpose of celebrating it is to give tourism its rightful place in
the world and to make the world better. This can only be possible if governments
and nations around the world pay attention to it.
If we talk about the day of September 27, then Allah Almighty has
given Pakistan very attractive regions, which are second to none in the whole
world. Our seas, mountains, glaciers, rivers, springs,
waterfalls, valleys and deserts are examples, which are the precious gift of
God to us.
Our northern regions and Kashmir are like a paradise on
earth. Baluchistan is perhaps the only region in the world where many seasons
embrace the visitors at a short distance.
For example, at a distance of few hours from the hottest area like
Sibi, there is a very cold place ‘Ziarat’ which is undoubtedly a testimony of
the glory of Allah.
There are ancient natural forests of cypress which are considered
to be the second oldest trees in the world. Some of these trees are up to 5500
years old. In the province of Sindh, the beautiful blue water like Arabian Sea
hits the shore and scatters its colors. The traces of the oldest civilization
at Mohenjo-Daro near Larkana push us into memory.
The greenness of Punjab province is owed to
the five rivers that refresh our body and soul. The world's second largest salt
mine is located here. Gilgit-Baltistan is famous for its beauty that flowers
bloom even from stones here. The views here are dazzling.
Here the waterfalls are humming, and the
springs of cool fresh water are pouring sweet sceneries. Swarms of tourists get
lost in these natural splendors.
Hunza water in Gilgit-Baltistan ranks second in the
world in terms of healthful ingredients. This is the reason why people of Hunza
are famous for longevity.
Gilgit-Baltistan is also a place where three
of the world's largest mountain ranges, the Karakoram, Himalayas and Hindu Kush
meet.
This is the only place in the world where
these mountain ranges meet each other. The Karakoram Highway, which is also
known as the Eighth Wonder, travels through different regions and gets
acquainted with the colorful landscapes and civilizations.
Finally, it goes to Pak-China border, Khunjerab,
and exits the Pakistani border and enters China. The Karakoram Highway is the
only road in the world that passes at such a height. Many of the blessings that
Allah has given us here are hidden from most people.
For example, 30 of the 100 highest peaks in
the world are in our beloved country, which is no less than an honor. We have a
series of glaciers that are not found anywhere else in the world. These
glaciers of ours are considered the largest and longest glaciers in the world
after the North Pole, which have been named the Water Tower.
The Pakistan-China border is located at an
altitude of about 15,397 feet above sea level and is the highest border in the
world where armies of the two countries are officially present.
Between Sakardu and Astor in Gilgit-Baltistan,
there is the world's largest plateau Deosai, which is unique in terms of its
beauty, scenery and climate. What a wonderful carpet is laid out in the form of
colorful flowers, and the colors of rainbow are scattered everywhere.
The wild animals and birds here are seen
frolicking. It is known that the greenery and herbs here also talk. The same is
true of ‘Thar desert’, the land of sand, that when it rains, it looks less like
a desert and more like a patch of green plains. When the peacocks here dance,
the whole environment sways with it. It is the only desert of its kind that has
such a temperament.
Allah Almighty has blessed Pakistan with His
generosity. Now it is our responsibility to take full advantage of these
wonderful and precious blessings. But even though there is a lot going on in
the country, a lot of work needs to be done in tourism sector.
In this regard, along with the government, the
private sector also needs to play its role, to cover beautiful views,
historical background and cultural heritage in a rich manner in the country and
abroad.
The charm that Allah Almighty has given to our
country is like heaven. For the promotion of tourism, it should be decided
today in accordance with international day that we will join Pakistan in the
first place of tourism in the world.
For this, first of all, the information and
beauty of these natural-colored areas need to be known to other countries.
Apart from this, attention should be paid to the problems of law and order.
The best and safe routes should be arranged to
reach these heavenly valleys. The system and quality of hoteling should
be improved. There are dozens of places where the beauty can be enhanced by
installing a chairlift. Guide boards should be installed in different languages
so that the tourists can get to know these routes in a better way.
International seminars should be organized to
inform foreign tourists about our rare and unique places in the world. Allah
has given us the most beautiful regions of the world. We should take full
advantage of these beautiful valleys and views and develop a coherent and
systematic strategy to promote our visit places. This will also
strengthen the country's foreign exchange reserves.
