There are many types of tourism such as
individual tourism, agricultural tourism, cultural tourism, religious tourism,
marine tourism etc. and there are vast opportunities for all tourism in
Pakistan.
For the promotion of tourism, work has been
done very rapidly all over the world. Provision of all modern facilities for
the convenience of tourists to the tourist areas has been ensured, however, due
to the attacks on America, the conditions of global tourism have changed and
tourism activities around the world have come to a standstill.
The tourism industry is
one of the largest industries worldwide. Pakistan was a popular tourist destination in the 1970s. Thousands of tourists from many western countries
came to Pakistan and visited Nepal and India through Swat Valley and
Kashmir.
However, later due to
instability and terrorism in the country, the tourism industry in Pakistan was
badly affected. Though positive news regarding tourism in Pakistan has been
coming out for some time now and there is hope that Pakistan will regain its
identity.
Pakistan is a picture of
all the beauty of nature. On our land bordering the sea, the beaches of Karachi
in Sindh and Kanda Malir in Balochistan, islands, the world's second highest
mountain peak K-2, Nanga Parbat, Raka Poshi, besides mesmerizing unique lakes,
rivers, snow-capped mountains.
Ranges, deserts, springs
of transparent water, historical forts and buildings, ancient mosques,
endlessly open valleys, vast forests, as if all the beauty of the world
is present on the bosom of the holy land. Pakistan's colorful regional and
tribal cultures, costumes, regional dances, festivals, delicious food,
hospitable people and interesting customs are a message of peace for tourists.
Take the country's
capital, where the hills of Margalla, Shakar Padian, National Art Gallery,
Daman Koh, Rawal Lake, Faisal Masjid, etc. are the best tourist spots.
In Baluchistan, the monuments of Mehr Ghar or Oriya are more than the Indus
Valley Civilization, ancient more than a thousand years.
Visitors always remember
the residence of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and the ancient forests of
Juni Pir in Ziarat. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has a great tourism and cultural
heritage. The monuments of Gandhara civilization, the beauty of Swat and
the northern regions of Pakistan fascinate the visitors.
The Kaghan Valley,
Karakoram Highway, Balakot, Naran and Saif-ul-Maluk Lake, the
recreational and tourist destination of Ayubia are also major tourist
attractions.
Among the historical
places that tourists are interested in Punjab are Shalimar Bagh, Taxila
Archeology, Badshahi Mosque, Jahangir Tomb, Iqbal Mazar, Pakistan Minar,
Guruvar Ajanam Asthan Nankana Sahib, Sikh Holy Place, Queen Kohsar Murree,
Cholistan Desert and Thal. The Indus region is the cradle of thousands of years
old civilization of the Indus Valley.
At the national level, new
records of tourism are being made in Pakistan every year. Now the hope is that
Pakistan will be known in the world for its original beauty.
The government seems to be
enthusiastic about the promotion of tourism and recently the announcement of
providing visa on arrival facility to 50 countries of the world and e-visa
facility to 175 countries is also a link in this chain, after which now the
citizens of these countries are Pakistanis in their own country.
Now you will be able to
get a visa at the airport after reaching Pakistan without applying at the
embassy.
Therefore, there is a need
now that all the embassies and advisers of Pakistan abroad should give full
introduction to the national tourist places so that foreign tourists can
visit Pakistan in large numbers.
This will increase the
national income on one hand and on the other hand our country will gain fame
due to its natural beauty, historical importance, cultural and tourist
attractions.
