Hunza is a region of northern Pakistan. It is
also called Hunza Valley. It is located north of Gilgit next to Nagar
and on the Silk Road (Shahra-e-Rasham). It is a collection of small
settlements.
The largest settlement is Karimabad. It is a
major tourist center. The sight of Rakaposhi is very attractive. Employment in
Pakistan Army and service to tourists is the main source of employment. The
Hunza River passes through it.
The language of people here is Wakhi and Burushaski.
But people here also speak Shina language.
Consisting of three geographical parts, namely
Central Hunza, Gojal Valley and Shinaki Valley, Hunza Valley is a hub of unique
cultures and tourist attractions.
Popular tourist spots include: Baltit Fort, Al-Tat Fort, Borit
Lake, Gojal Lake (formed by the accidental damming of Hunza River), Pasu
Glacier, Khunjerab Pass, Mintaka Pass, Gulmit, Altar Hill and Shimshal Valley.

Hunza Valley is an interesting place to visit.
It is located in adjoining area of Gilgit-Baltistan. This valley has three
regions, Upper Hunza, Center Hunza and Lower Hunza.
Basically, it is a mountain valley. There are
many special things. There are places worth visiting like Rakaposhi Base Camp,
Diran Base Camp, Nagar Valley and Attabad Lake.
